Neighborhood Picnic and a Little Water Fun!

We took a beautiful (but hot) hike through the dunes to reach Lake Michigan. Emma and Charlie enjoyed the beach once we got there! :)

Emma was excited to finally give grandpa his birthday present that she painted for him. She decided he would like a painting of a wine bottle, a wine glass and a few grapes. :) She liked riding on the boat, especially the big waves and going fast! :) Keenan had fun playing peek-a-boo with Sheila (aka Sheshe) and bouncing the ball on Papa's head. :) He also got comfy enough on Papa's back to take a short nap while we cruised around the lake. Fun day! :)

A wonderful afternoon at the Arb
We took a nice hike through the Arb this past weekend; with stops to cool our feet in the river and to build a fairy house. What a great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. :)

Horse Show at SCS at the end of camp
Emma rode the very young pony Apache all week long and in the horse show on Friday. Apache is still learning how to take a rider, but Emma wanted the extra challenge! Although Apache didn't always listen to her commands, Emma did a great job being patient with him! He is pretty darn cute (as is Emma!) and we are really proud of not only her riding, but her perseverance as well! :)

After Emma helped Papa change the brakes on my car, they headed out for a special daddy-daughter dinner at Shalimars! :) I think they both clean up pretty well. ♥♥♥

After picking her up from her last day, Papa and I took her out for a special lunch- just the 3 of us! We love you , Emma! Keep up the great work!
