As Em's school year came to a close, Emma and her classmates spend the day the one room school house. 

They tried out many games like the hoop roll

STAR program Graduation

Emma and some of her classmates gave up their lunch hour to join the STAR (The Students Talking And Relating).  "The program utilizes peers to deliver instruction and intervention to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The main goal  is to facilitate the development of communication, social skills, and independence of students with ASD by increasing their opportunities for social interaction with their typical peers." Fun Run, Oct 2012

What great weather we had for a great event!  Thanks to all those who helped Emma raise money for the fun run; she was the 2nd top fund raiser again this year!  W00T!

Valentine's Day 2012
Keenan LOVED his Mickey Mouse card from Emma that played the "Hot Dog" song! He played with it for hours, yes literally HOURS!! Emma was pretty happy with her new peace bag and she had a lot of fun handing out valentines to her friends at school. :) She also loved the heart shaped hard boiled egg Mama made for her lunch, along with heart shaped kiwi and a myriad of other valentinesy food. :)

School Christmas Fun
Auntie Shell joined Emma and I at her school for a little holiday fun! Auntie Shell and I ran the games! Woohoo! We had a snowball toss, snowball relay, word search and clothes race. It was very high energy, but lots of fun!

After her Fun Run, Emma and her classmates had a fun math activity. They measured and weighed their pumpkins (estimating first of course); they also wrote about their pumpkins and got to decorate them. What a fun afternoon! :)
