Remember when you use to get this excited about snow and snow days???
The older I get the more I want to move to someplace warm; nevertheless I still love seeing Emma get excited to play outside in the snow!

More fun with the neighbors! :)

Building a Snow House with our neighbors
Joe and Amy really enjoyed building the snow house outside, while Caleb and Emma really enjoyed decorating it. Meanwhile Mike and Erin really were enjoying the thoughts of heading inside and warming up! :) Ok, ok even though it was freezing, I'll admit- it was fun!

Emma Ice Skating
After a few teary eyed rounds with Mama, lamenting about how hard ice skating was- Mama decided to take a break and let Emma have a go on her own. Emma who had been clingy and whiny with me out on the ice, became strong and determined once out on the ice alone. She even tried a few times without the skate learner. Though it was hard for me to step away, I was glad I did. I think we both learned a lot out on the ice that day!

Emma and Papa go sledding
Em and her Papi had such a great time sledding, and I had a ball watching them! We even ran into her preschool teacher's husband and kids by chance on the sledding hill. What a fun time!













I love how Emmie put her little arms up with gusto as she neared the end of her sledding run. Such joy!

















Sledding is so much more fun when someone is willing to pull you back up the hill! :)

Winter Blast in Detroit!
With Alex back for a visit we headed to Detroit to enjoy the festivities of Winter blast. Emma ice skated for the very first time and rode the pony. Emma loved the pony, Alex and I had fun skating and Papa- I think Papa was just cold.
