First school day without Mama and Papa Emma had a great start to the school year! We are so happy our long decision making process has paid off; she loves school and we couldn't be happier!
The Christmas Carol Train While at Greenfield Village earlier in the week, Emma and I heard about the train coming for a short visit that featured items from the new Disney movie the Christmas Carol. We decided it sounded fun; returned to visit the train and catch a glimpse of the movie before it opened in theaters. Even though we decided the movie was a little too scary for Emma and probably won't go see it when it comes out, we still had a lot of fun, especially with the bubble snow! :)
Annual Trip to Lake Michigan We had another great year up at the Lake with Grandma Mary Ann and Grandpa Byron. It was also great to see Shell and Paul, Kim, Grant and Liam; and Tomi, Denny, Grace and Jayce. We had fun celebrating birthdays, swimming, playing and EATING (and more eating) together! Can't wait to see you all at the lake next year!
On the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan In all of my travels I have seen only a few beaches that revile the beauty of Lake Michigan. The sandy coastline is beautiful and the water isn't salty!! What more could one ask for (except maybe a few degrees warmer)? :D
The Dunes! Some of us preferred to hike up the dunes to see the beautiful view of the lake, others of us liked to run up the dunes in order to slide back down the other side or to build a fort, others yet loved the dunes to play a friendly game of dog tag... and then there were those who decided taking a pick up truck up the dunes would be fun! :) We all had a great time!!
