Homecoming 2007

Alex and Laura getting ready for the big dance...

And the after shots too!
Alex and Laura both looks beautiful as we shipped them off to the dance (OMG this is what having teenagers is like!!!) as did Emma who decided she had to get dressed up too!

The 2007 Haslett Invitational
Girls Cross Country

Today we headed towards East Lansing to watch Alex run. Unfortunately, she had to drop out midway due to a hip injury, but we had a great time away. Emma loved hanging out with the big girls (who keep feeding her team snacks) and Grandma Mary Ann And Grandpa Byron joined the fun as well. Alex and the rest of the gang cheered on her team, who ended up winning the invitational!

Even though the field trip got off to a crazy start, Emma and I had a great time at the raspberry patch. I am fairly confident she ate way more than she picked but together we did manage to pick and keep a quart, enough to make Grandma Sandy's birthday pie! It was pretty funny to watch the mass of children follow Ms. Archer all around the patch. They do love her! We feel really lucky to have such great teacher for Emma's first school years.

Emma decided to bring home another school dress up bag.
This time she mixed it with a bit of her own bling.
Love her sense of fashion.

Here comes the bride...
What a hoot! Emma is allowed to take home dress up bags from preschool and surprise, surprise she decided to bring the bride dress up bag home. She had a blast with it. She didn't even take it off to go shopping with Grandma Sandy. Got to love the lip gloss across the cheek look too. I hear it is very in for brides this year. :)

Emma starts Ballet
Emma and her best bud, Maddie, started dance lessons this week. It was absolutely adorable to watch. The pictures aren't great but hey, what do you expect from a tiny window with lots of moms jockeying for a view. :)

Emma has a new big sister! Alex has arrived from Germany and will be living with us for the next year! Emma decided her dress from Tante Sandra was the perfect one to pick up her new German sister. We love it!
