Tortoise and Hare Kids Dash

Emma ran her first race on the 4th. She had a blast!! From the teeshirt the children received to the race number, the kids were treated like runners! They even got power bars and bananas after the race!! :)

Emma had to run the 4 and under boy group since she was too busy playing with rabbits when t he 4 and under girls ran. As the boys (and Emma) lined up), Emma held on to her friend Jack's hand. They look so cute together. Unfortunately, we didn't catch that moment on film, but hopefully, Jack's mommy did! As the race started Emma took off, but left Jack behind, who was a little freaked out at the mob of people running around him and decided he would be happier with his daddy. Emma didn't mind the mob and ran the race with a big proud smile on her face. Her mama, papa and grandma looked much the same!!

We decided to hang after the run to watch the parade. The kids had a great time racing around again for candy and bouncy balls thrown from parade walkers.

We visited Cousin Ethan this weekend and had lots of fun!!

Emma was a little surprised how rough the cow's tongue was. But she loved the miniature horse, the baby donkey and just hanging out with her best friend.

Race for the Cure 2007
We had another beautiful race day. Emma (and all) had a blast walking around Detroit. Good folks, good cause, great day! Can't wait to do it again next year! Thanks Supporters!!! You guys rock!

Yes, it is good to home with good friends again!! We have enjoyed catching up with Emma and Mama's friends!

After 6 weeks in Germany it was time to say goodbye to our much loved family there. Although we miss them a lot, it is good to be home too!

Tripsdrill
We had a ball at tripdrill! I think Emma enjoyed the worm the best. Yes, another roller coaster!! We rode it until Mama and Tanti were queasy!! We had wonderful weather, no lines and an overall awesome day!!!

We had a great walk with Opa Horst, Tanti, Lisa and Sarah in the Schloss garden.

For Auntie Shell

Emma got her ears pierced while we were in Germany. Although she cried for a few minutes, she was ready to enjoy her new look quite quickly!
