The After Party
After the service, friends and family gathered at Inge and Urban's home to celebrate. It was great to so many friends and have more time with our family as well. Thanks for helping us celebrate and an extra big thanks to Inge and Urban for hosting!!! Love to you all!

Keenan's Baptism

What a special service for Keenan! His oldest cousin (and now his godmother) held him over the water, his great aunt read the first reading, his aunt read the prayers, Emma got to light the candle, and his grandpa sang a lovely song to end the baptismal service. Thanks to all who came to help us celebrate Keenan's special day!

Alex polished silverware and taught Em how to fold napkins (why did we send her home again?? :), Em opened presents, Oma and Tante cooked, while Opa and Papa set up the room. Mama was in charge of Keenan- I think I got the best job!! :)

Unbelievably, I did not have one decent picture of the birthday boy, most of the shots had him covered by someone else and the only half-decent one Keenan had his eyes closed! Oh well, we all had fun celebrating with him anyway!! :) Alles gute zum Geburtstag Heiko!!

Being Thankful on Thanksgiving
Even though Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in Germany, we decided to introduce our tradition of writing what we are thankful for with our German family. Emma helped decorate the turkey hand-prints; one of hers and one of Keenan's hand. Most our the notes were pretty traditional, but a few were pretty funny too! :) We were all thankful to be together again!
