Climbing Flying Mountain!
Though it isn't the island's highest peak, I was still very impressed with Emma's little hiking legs. The trails are filled with tree roots and lots of large boulders to climb over. Emma was such an amazing little hiker! She made me proud!!

Lunch at Jordan Pond Tea House
It is hard to say whether the view of long pond and the bubbles or the jam stuffed popovers are the best...

Any chance I should be worried about her college years??
Emma LOVED the blueberry sodas we got for a treat. Seeing she doesn't get soda at home I think she was doubly thrilled! :)

The Oceanaruim
My sisters and I use to love our visits to the oceanaruim in SWH, Maine. So stopping there was a must while we visited this summer for Emma. Since the SWH branch was closed we decided to check out the Bar Harbor branch. And although the SWH experience was better, Emma still got a chance to experience our favorite part; the touch tank! She held horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, sea cucumbers, sea stars, sea urchins, sand dollars, etc, but her favorite (as was mine) was the huge, slimy moon snail! She also liked checking out the baby lobsters in the lobster hatchery.

Meeting up with Ellen and co...
I hadn't seen my childhood friend, Ellen, in about 2o years. We met up at a park with our kids and enjoyed sharing tales of our lives since we last saw each other. I twas fun to reconnect and hope it won't be another 20 year before we see each other again. Emma had fun swinging and making sand angels, she also enjoyed the picnic Ellen brought. :)

SafetyTown; A special rite of passage for in-coming kindergartners in our neck of the woods. Emma had fun being with her friends and she learned a bit too! Woohoo! :)

Mackinaw Island
Grandma Sandy, Emma and Mama headed up north for a few days to enjoy Mackinaw. Horses, walks and bikes- oh my! :D It was fun like always, but the company was the best (well minus Charlie who we found out doesn't like horses or ferries- he'll need a babysitter for the next trip)!!
