Welcome Home Charlie!
Well, I finally caved into to Joe, Emma and Alex. They won the battle of wills when it came to getting a puppy. I must admit, I am quite smitten and glad he is around too. :) So, his name is Charlie, actually Charlie Buckwheat Sebastian, but what a mouth full (can you tell we had to compromise a bit) so Charlie it is. Hopefully we wont be in the dog house with Charlie N or Charlie B for using their name. So far he is doing well. He is eating, putting up with Emma putting him in a basket, and generally beginning to enjoy his new home (at least we hope so!).

A few goodies from Grandpa Howe and Sue
We hope Granpa is feeling better!

Emma in her Easter dress
We attempted to have Emma wear a sweater with this beautiful dress, but we weren't always successful! In her hand is her favorite new toy; her surgery mask! Well, it does smell good.

For Sue...
Sue really enjoyed our Easter present from Grandma Mary Ann and Grandpa Byron, so we thought she would enjoy the picture too!

Easter Morning Egg Hunt
Got to love Emma's outfit. I think the wings helped her fly through the house to find her eggs quickly. It took Alex and Emma about the same time to find all of their eggs.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the K's
Thanks for another great year Christine! Even with the foot of snow it was fun!

Just an update...
Emma's Surgery went well. She is now home and enjoying the extra attention she is receiving. We are happy it is behind us and are happy to see her on the mend. Thanks to our friends and family who have all been very supportive.

Riding the Trolley in New Orleans
What an adventure it was! We missed our stop, but enjoyed the longer ride anyway. Ended up having lunch at the Whole Foods market (which might have been our best meal, New Orleans may be known for good food, but NOT so good vegetarian food) and taking a pleasant walk down Magazine Street (although Grandma Sandy might refer to it as the death march down Magazine Street!) :)

The New Orleans Aquarium
We started off the day with the Imax movie, then headed upstairs to pet the rays and shark (which was the highlight!!). Of course, kissing the seahorse, checking "Nemo", the sea stars and the white alligator were big hits too. What a great time we had!!
